What the Succ?! Let’s Knot.
This succulent comes from a knotted home. 😊
I love plants. I think they’re beautiful… and also a lot of work. But I have a confession to make. I cannot keep those beauties alive and healthy. I like to think I’m just a plant hospice nurse and that the plant that’s already on its way out chooses to come home with me. LOL. I mean… you believe me, right?
But you know what’s funny? Air plants and succulents? Those seem to be my plants. I mean, it might help that those are the ones I buy… and that I have a hubby with a very good green thumb who takes care of them. But hey — that’s a very big maybe. 😉
Oh yes… the knotting. I digress!
I know there are many of you out there who love plants and whose plant babies absolutely thrive under your care. But then… there are a few of you quietly hiding in the shadows, the ones who don’t even have a pinky’s worth of green-thumbness in them (it’s a thing, don’t question it). Whether you fall into one of those categories, or somewhere in between, you’re here because you want to learn and/or try macrame. Or… you just want to make something pretty. And honestly? There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
So… WHAT THE SUCC?! Let’s knot!
Catchy name, huh? 😏 For our April workshop, you’ll get to choose your very own 2-inch succulent and knot it a brand new home.
FYI: My hubby is currently the official plant caretaker for these prickly little beauties… but I assume no responsibility for your plant’s well-being once you adopt your plant baby. LOL.
No, but seriously…
Let’s Get Knotty Together
You know what I’ve been thinking about more and more lately? Especially after teaching a macrame workshop at Pink Means Go’s "Comadre Camp"? It’s the fact that our inner niña/o is still very much alive inside each and every one of us. It just gets a little quiet sometimes… especially when we’re deeply immersed in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. And whew, some days are extra bustley, am I right?!
So I thought… why not go back to the basics? Why not create a small workshop that gives you the chance to let that little girl or boy play again — even if it’s just for an hour or two? A space where you can step away from the stress, sit back, relax, and let me guide you step by step as you create your very own friendship bracelets. And not just any bracelets… we’re talking chunky, boho-chic, minimalist, fun pieces you’ll actually want to wear every day.
But I don’t want this to be just another run-of-the-mill workshop. I want it to feel like a mini playdate. Come solo and make new friends, or bring your child or niece or nephew, your bestie, your partner… or hey, even a situationship (LOL — no judgment here). I just know it’s going to be a good time.
And gentlemen — don’t be intimidated. This is absolutely for you too. Because tell me these bracelets wouldn’t look cool on you… exactly. 😏
As always, the workshop includes all materials and is perfect for anyone looking for a fun, relaxing DIY experience. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Pssst… want to know the best part? You get to pick your own colors. Yep, I’ll have 12 different colors for you to choose from so you can create your own unique masterpieces.
So… did I convince you? Are you coming?
